Shipping Policy
We bake, hand-pack, and ship every cake from our kitchen in Pauline, South Carolina, and we want it to reach you in perfect condition.
Shipping schedule
We ship Monday through Thursday each week, and we do not ship over the weekend. Every package is shipped to arrive within 2 days of leaving our kitchen, so all orders are scheduled to arrive by Friday at the latest.
Order cutoff
The order cutoff is Tuesday at midnight (Eastern) each week. Orders placed by then are scheduled to ship the same week. Orders placed after the cutoff will ship the following week.
Guaranteed shipping (UPS Air & FedEx 2-Day)
All UPS Air and FedEx 2-Day packages are guaranteed to arrive in 2 days. A guarantee does not mean delivery is 100% certain — carrier delays can still happen — but if a guaranteed shipment is delayed, we will refund it.
UPS Ground
UPS Ground typically takes 1–2 days to deliver depending on your location. Ground service is not guaranteed to deliver on any specific date, and only air packages carry a delivery guarantee. If you need your order to arrive on a specific day of the week, you must call or email us and receive confirmation that we can accommodate it. If timing matters, always confirm the exact ship day with us before the Friday of the week your order is scheduled to ship.
About frozen shipping & thawing
All fully iced cakes ship frozen on dry ice but may thaw during transit. This is completely normal, especially in the summer months. Your cake can and should be refrozen upon arrival. Cakes that arrive thawed are perfectly safe to eat — only a cake that arrives melted is considered a problem.
All naked cakes and jar cakes ship with gel packs and may arrive at room temperature. This is normal and your cake is perfectly safe to enjoy.
Holidays & destinations
All shipping and delivery timelines above exclude holidays. We cannot ship on major holidays when postal and carrier services do not run. We ship to all 50 states; shipping to Hawaii and Alaska may incur additional fees.
